This is my first entry. I'm still here in Salisbury, MD, but will be leaving in five days. I really need to get packing ;-) Yesterday the city of Salisbury gave me a great going away present by giving me a $70 citation for failing to stop before making a right turn at a red light. UGH. I still can't believe that I am going to be leaving the US for such a long time...(I will hopefully be able to come home during the break in January or February). Yesterday I sent an email to Ms. Moko Inaba, who is a coordinator over at Soka, and she replied saying, "I am looking forward to meeting you next week".....and it kinda hit me for a moment....This time NEXT WEEK I'm going to be in Japan! :-O My dad gave me a few CDs of Mexican music to take with me. He said, "This is music that you can cry to when you're over there...." I know my dad meant well, but it's not to Mexican music that I'll be missing home...it'll be to my Mary J. Bliges, my Beatles, my No Doubts, my Elton Johns......(perhaps to "Sad Songs Say So Much" ;-))
