I will be leaving tomorrow, so this will be my last blog entry before I leave. The next time I write, I will probably be back home. On Monday, I signed, not the contract, but an application for my new apartment. I will sign the contract when I come back. In the meanwhile, my hoshounin, or guarantor will sign it. The apartment I will be living in is so beautiful! It overlooks the river and is triangle-shaped, unlike most 1 room apartments which are square-shaped. There was this other apartment from where Mt. Fuji can be seen in the winter...but I went with the other apartment because its triangle-shape gives you a sense of spaciousness. Well, I don`t know what else to say except that preparations for returning to the US are going pretty smoothly so far...I still need to pack and clean my room however. A lot of us at Sunflower Hall have been leaving one by one so people have been leaving stuff that they don`t want on one of the lounge tables...there`s so much stuff that it looks like a flea market! By the way, I didn`t get to write about last weekend, which was a lot of fun...I will try to remember to write about it or tell y`all about it when I see you. I can`t believe that my time at Soka is already over...but another stage in my life will begin. When I first came to Japan, who would have thought I would be staying here on my own? To be honest, I didn`t think I would continue writing on the blog when I first started...but thanks to all of you who read it...I`ve kept it up for 10 months (with a few holes here and there, I know...) and I hope to continue it in the coming year...
Catch ya on the flip side...

Tonight I sign the contract for my new apartment...There`s no turning back now! And today I said goodbye to T...which makes me very sad...There was so much to say...but not enough time, no right words. But I think that not saying much was the best way...I remember that when we first came here, we talked about how a lot could happen in 10 months and how we didn`t know how things would turn out. I said to her jokingly, "Who knows, by the time we see each other again, my half-Japanese kids will be coming along with me". But then I said, "Well, who knows...I don`t know what`s going to happen anyway". And she said, "Just like 10 months before...we still don`t know"...
