Sakura rain...
"That I would be good even if I did nothing
That I would be good even if I got a thumbs down
That I would be good even if I gained ten pounds
That I would be fine even if I went bankrupt
That I would be grand if I was not all knowing..."

On a lighter note...
Today is Ayumu`s 25th birthday. I sent him an email wishing him a happy birthday and he answered, "I don`t want to get older!". But Ayumu, you`re still young....:-)
Today in class, the teacher asked, "Does someone have a birthday today?". I answered, "No, but today is my friend`s birthday" and she said, "Well, in honor of his birthday, you get to be the first one to read today`s text out loud." Yabai.... :-P

Sakura petals floating softly in the breeze...

Not much going on today...I realized that I haven`t posted any links so far, which is what part of blogging is all about, in my opinion anyway. So I have a link for y`all today. It was sent by one of my friends back home and I found it really funny. Thanks to the person who sent it. I figure that it`d be easier for me to post any interesting links on this blog rather than forward it by email. Anywayz, here it is: "What they really meant in those emergency brochures..."

What a gorgeous day! It`s so warm out that it seems like summer and the sakura trees look like clouds! This is the perfect time, after the bitter cold, yet it`s not unbearably hot. This day can only be described as yasashi
Well, classes began today. They went pretty well. We had to write an essay that was basically "What I Did for My Spring Vacation". And I actually enjoyed writing it. Anywayz, on Saturday, I had a pretty exhausting and stressful day at Berlitz. I had the bright idea of riding my bike in the rain with a raincoat so when I got to the school, my pants were absolutely soaked in the rain. Later, I was shown evaluations of my teaching and had to observe two classes. I was pretty worn out after work, but afterwards I met up with Don and Ayumu. As always, I had a really good time. One of the highlights of the evening was when Ayumu took us to this second hand store that sold all kinds of things, such as old comics, used CDs, old vinyl records, used video games, and all kinds of old (and new) video game systems. I was looking through some Beatles records when what should I come across but an original copy of the "White Album", my favorite Beatles album! It cost about 1800 yen (about 16-17 dollars), which I thought was pretty good. But now when I think about it, I don`t know....it`s about the same price as an American CD, but anyways, I thought it was a great find, so I bought it, even if it`s just to say that I have an original copy of the White Album, or I could sell it on Ebay. Do you think it would go for a lot of money? It`s not a mint copy, but it was obviously well taken care of, so if I can get my hands on a record player, I might want to listen to the record. I also ended up getting a #3 Ranma 1/2 manga, which was one of the first Japanese anime series I ever watched and also my favorite. I know that some of you guys would have absolutely loved the store`s video game section! All in all, I think the store is one of the coolest stores I`ve been to in Japan.
Another thing happened that evening...I got to drive in Japan! Ayumu, bless his soul, was nice enough to actually let me drive on the road for a little bit. It was pretty much like driving back home except, of course, I drove on the right side of the car and I had to drive on the left side of the road, which like I thought, was kind of freaky for me, especially when making right-hand turns! I could sense that both Ayumu and Don were scared out of their wits while I drove, but they were good sports. Overall it was quite a strange experience...but cool.
